Today, I had the pleasure of taking a tour of one of Salem's truly great family enterprises, The Church Budget Co, now in the hands of the fourth generation of the Pidgeon family, with the 5th generation on board, learning the business from "from the ground up".

Located at the site that was originally the Parker Chevrolet Cadillac dealership, today's Church Budget Co, churns out millions upon millions of church (giving) envelopes every day . . . all destined for thousands of churches all over America.

From giant rolls of stock paper, I witnessed a continuous stream of paper instantaneously printed, folded, glued, and configured into every imaginable form of envelope destined for church pews and collection plates across the nation.

And the Pidgeons have been at this since 1917. Wow! What an impressive enterprise this is for Salem. And to think they are doing 'the work of the Lord'.
